Shipping, Cancellation & Returns

Last updated 9 July 2026

Tulsi Overseas manufactures non-woven felt to order against each buyer's specification — GSM, width, thickness, density and quantity. Because of that, our shipping, cancellation and returns terms work differently from a retail or off-the-shelf product store. This page explains the general approach; the specific terms for your order are always confirmed in writing at the time you place it.

1. Placing an order

An order is confirmed only once we've agreed specification, quantity, price, lead time, payment terms and delivery/packing details with you in writing (by email or a formal quotation/purchase order acknowledged by both sides). Until that point, no order exists — see our Terms of Use on enquiries.

A note on the specifics below

The sections below set out the general principles we'd expect to apply. Where you have a standard advance-payment percentage, cancellation window, or quality-claim process you'd like stated as a firm policy, let us know and we'll make this page specific rather than general.

2. Shipping and delivery

We manufacture and pack from our facility in Panipat, Haryana. For domestic Indian orders, goods are dispatched by road transport to your specified destination. For export orders, rolls and sheets are weighed, wrapped and palletised, ready for container loading — see Export & Global Reach for what we need from you to quote freight and documentation. Delivery/lead times quoted are estimates based on order size and current production schedule, and are confirmed per order rather than guaranteed by this page.

3. Cancellation

Because each order is cut and produced to your specification, an order can generally be cancelled without cost only before production has started. Once fibre has been allocated and the production run has begun against your specification, cancellation may not be possible, or may be subject to a charge covering materials and work already committed — this will always be discussed with you directly, not applied silently.

4. Returns and quality claims

Because felt is made to order and cannot generally be resold to another buyer once cut to your specification, we don't offer open-ended returns the way a retail product would. If a delivered order doesn't match the specification you approved — wrong GSM, width, thickness or density outside agreed tolerance, or a manufacturing defect — contact us with your order reference and details of the issue as soon as you identify it, and we will investigate and agree a fair resolution with you (rework, replacement or credit, depending on the situation). We stand behind the specification we quote and confirm.

5. Damaged in transit

If a shipment arrives visibly damaged, note it on the delivery receipt where possible, photograph the damage, and contact us within a reasonable time of delivery so we can raise it with the carrier and agree next steps with you.

6. Payment terms

Payment terms (advance, balance on dispatch, or otherwise) are agreed per order and confirmed in your quotation or purchase order — we don't publish a single fixed policy here because terms can vary with order size and whether you're a new or returning buyer.
